Section 10.1 Standing Committees Each standing committee must have a minimum of two members. Members of the standing committees will consist of volunteers from the Chapter's members. Section 10.2 Communications Committee 1) The Communications Committee will be responsible for the publicicity of all IIE events, activities, awards, and general information to the Chapter. 2) The Communications Director will be the Chairperson for this Committee 3) The Communications Committee shall produce three Chapter Newsletters per semester. 4) The Communications Committee is responsible for the upkeep of the Chapter Web Page. Section 10.3 Education Committee 1) The Education Committee will be responsible for the Mentoring Program, College Class Presentations, and High School Presentations 2) The Education Director will be the Chairperson for this Committee. 3) The Education Committee shall seek to establish at least ten (10) mentors and (10) mentees each semester and oversee the activities between them. 4) The Education Committee shall give at least two (2) College Class Presentations per semester. 5) The Education Committee shall give at least two (2) High School Presentations per year. Section 10.4 Activities Committee 1) The Activities Committee shall plan at least two events or activities outside of general meetings each semester. 2) The Activities Director will be the Chairperson for this Committee. 3) The Activities Committee shall plan the New Student Welcome Event. 4) The Activities Committee shall assist in planning and coordinating the IE Departmental Banquet each year. 5) The Activities Committee shall plan the Chapter's attendance to the Regional Student Conference and the IIE National Conference. Section 10.5 Special Committees 1) Nominating Committee a) At least two meetings prior to the scheduled election day, the President shall appoint three (3) graduating seniors to the Nominating Committee. b) The Nominating Committee will prepare a ballot consisting of at least one (1) member for each office. Permission of the candidates to have their names on the ballot must be obtained. 2) Regional Conference Committee a) When the Chapter is hosting a Region Conference, the President, in consultation with the Faculty Advisor(s), shall form a Conference Committee and appoint a Chairperson for this committee. This committee shall be responsible for all matters concerning the Chapter's hosting of a Student Regional Conference. 3) Conference Participation Committees a) The President may form a committee to coordinate the Chapter's participation in Region or National Conferences.
