Section 8.1
The Faculty Advisor(s)may choose to recommend a Student Advisor to the Executive Committee. Acceptance of the Student Advisor by the Executive Committee shall complete the appointment process. The Faculty Advisor(s) need not recommend a candidate every year.

Section 8.2 Term of Office
The Student Advisor shall serve a full year commencing May 1 and continuing through April 30 of the following year.

Section 8.3 Qualifications
The Student Advisor must be in good standing as a student member with the Institute, have at least junior status by the beginning of the semester during which they will serve, and have a cumulative grade point average greater than 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale). The Student Advisor must have been an officer for at least one year and must have shown exceptional commitment to the organization during that time. Students interested in being a Student Advisor may contact the Faculty Advisor(s).
